This sansthan (Shirdi Sai Rasoi) came into being when a Sai devotee saw a young hunger stricken boy suffering at such a tender age. This wrenched the devotee’s heart and the seed of “Anndaan” (food donation) took root in his heart. Sate the hunger of the poor/needy before filling your own body with food is the idea practiced and promoted by our Baba, as mentioned in “Sai Sachritra”.

Throughout his life, Baba depended on the alms and charity which he shared always with others. Whatever he used to receive in alms, he shared it with everyone whether it’s destitute people or the helpless birds and animals.

Shirdi Sai Rasoi is an attempt to follow Baba’s footsteps, also started the Bhandara Seva ( food donation ) by collecting donation from the people who understand and appreciate “Anndaan Mahadaan” and believe in entering a helping hand to the less fortunate. It began in the year 2000 with contribution from just a few devotees. Today, innumerable Sai devotees and their families have joined this humane initiative.
